Have you ever wondered, as a parent, why your children should be involved in presentations, programs, and shows? There is much more to the experience than meet the eye. It is more than providing a showcase for parents and family to see and applaud their dancer’s talents! It provides an important incentive and reward for the dancer who is taking lessons in a performing art. Yet, the question remains unanswered, Is that all there is?

For young dancers there are many lessons to be learned from participation in a formal program. They experience the satisfaction derived from performing for an audience. They ascend a stage with a certain amount of trepidation but leave it with a sense of accomplishment and confidence. They discover that facing the public need not be a frightening experience if they are given the proper preparation for the event.
