Malaya Chism
Malaya Chism is an LA based dancer. Her love and passion for dance have inspired her to teach and help mentor dancers to become positive role models and incredible dancers! Miss Malaya is a well-versed, skilled dancer, who enjoys all genres of dance from ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, jazz funk, musical theater, to tap and hip hop. She has been recognized for multiple awards regionally and nationally as a Rhythm Machine/RAD Dance Company Member. Her accolades include the well renowned Al Gilbert Memorial Scholarship (2023-2024) and the esteemed Joe Tremaine Solo Scholarship (2022-2023).
Her journey in dance started at 4 years old at Retter's Academy of Dance under the artistic direction of Mr. Darryl Retter and Ms. Linda Bernabei Retter, and continued at RAD throughout her senior year under the guidance and artistic direction of Ms. Nadine Hassen and Mr. Ramsey Hassen. RAD Dance's studio philosophy, “Dance Lessons Are Life Lessons” has truly shaped her into the person she is today! Malaya will continue her "Education Through Experience" and train in all genres as she navigates her way through the dance community to pursue her dreams and continue to express her love of dance. She believes every amazing dancer has a home, and she is happy that RAD Dance Studio is hers! Your dancer will love dancing with the fabulous Miss Malaya!
